As Leader of the Opposition on Portsmouth City Council, Charlotte was first elected as a Labour councillor in 2021, then re-elected in May 2024. 

Charlotte says “We will continue to work with the administration in the best interests of Portsmouth and push them to go further where we believe they’re not getting things right.”

Positions: Employment Committee; Traffic, Environment & Community Safety Scrutiny Panel; Twinning Advisory Group.

Charlotte is a representative for the Port Advisory Board and is the Women, Children & Domestic Violence Champion for Portsmouth City Council.

In addition to council roles, Charlotte works for a health charity, is a school governor for Brambles Infant School and Nursery, is a co-founder of Pompey Parklets and Platform Women’s Network and an active trade unionist.
