Yesterday we had another busy Portsmouth City Council meeting with lots of successes!
  • accelerated action on the climate emergency, pushing the council to commit to clear carbon reduction targets
  • secured commitment to improve disabled accessibility in Portsmouth Play Parks with an audit of existing parks, more consultation with families and a plan to invest to make some of the city’s parks truly accessible
  • secured increased action from the council to tackle the growth of illicit tobacco and vape sales in Portsmouth, to enhance reporting mechanisms, enforcement and education
Also …. our Charles Dickens councillor Raj Ghosh gave his maiden speech!
A special thanks the residents who spoke on these issues and who’ve been campaigning for a greener, fairer and safer Pompey!
