With litter and fly-tipping still topping the list of residents’ concerns, Portsmouth’s Labour councillors are in the front line of the battle to make the city’s streets cleaner. This time it was the turn of Councillor Yinka Adeniran to lead volunteers in Portsea for the Keep Britain Tidy group’s Great British Spring Clean.

Yinka was joined by fellow councillors George Fielding and Charlotte Gerada (Central Southsea), Portsmouth South MP Stephen Morgan and Labour activists.

… and is a leading light

Yinka was delighted to tell residents in her ward around Cornwallis Crescent about the £10,000 the local Labour team has secured for additional street lighting to improve safety in the area. Here she is on her rounds with the chair of the Constituency Labour Party, Mark Mitchell
