Portsmouth Labour Party Standing up for you and our city
After the euphoria of the General Election win early in the month, the city’s Labour councillors were back in business with a flourish at July’s full council meeting. The only party to submit motions, they:
- Called on the council to improve special educational needs and disability (SEND)
provision for children and young people in Portsmouth - Raised awareness of medication shortages for people with ADHD
- Advocated for Portsmouth elections to be held once every four years to save money,
increase efficiency and improve decision-making - Highlighted the difficulties Connors Toy Library is facing and asked the council to
examine what support it can provide. The service, which has been operating for more
than 50 years, has recently lost its funding
