Help us save Portsmouth’s Stroke Recovery Service

Portsmouth Stroke Recovery Service is under threat and we need your help. The Liberal Democrats who run the city council plan to cut this vital service from December 2023. But there’s a chance to stop this.

Labour councillors and Stephen Morgan MP are joining forces with stroke recovery survivors. We’re asking the Full Council meeting on Tuesday 18 July, for funding to continue for this service. If enough councillors vote for it, the council can u-turn on current plans.

The more of us who support these calls, the more likely the vote will go our way. We have an open letter that we’ll be sharing with all councillors ahead of the council meeting. Will you sign our open letter now? It only takes a minute.

The Stroke Recovery Service is a lifeline for hundreds of stroke survivors of all ages. It uniquely provides support to prevent further strokes from occurring and helps to rehabilitate a survivor in their homes, workplace and wider community. Any of us could need this vital service at some point.
