We know the much loved facility in Eastney will not reopen once current covid-19 restrictions are lifted following the councils decision to open a new leisure facility in Bransbury Park.

Craig Said: ” This treasured local gem is over 100 years old and it’s so important its future is protected and residents get a say in what happens next to the site and the building. We know it’s not disability compliant and the roof is in a dire state so urgent work needs to take place to protect the site from falling into further disrepair. As veteran myself I’m particularly keen to ensure we persevere this former navy and marines training pool as part of our local armed forces heritage”.
