Joshua Allen moved to Portsmouth a few years ago to take up employment and loves it! Both at work and in our community, he wants to help others and make our city a better place to live. That’s why he’s standing to be councillor for St Jude ward. Working alongside Councillor Graham Heaney and city MP Stephen Morgan Joshua is speaking up on local issues and getting things done.

Listening to local concerns, Joshua believes your priorities are his priorities. That’s why he’s taking action on making our streets safer He is working with our local MP, Stephen Morgan, to improve access to our city’s health services, and is backing small businesses to get Portsmouth’s economy back on track. Joshua and his team are out and about calling on residents to listen to their issues and concerns as well as playing an active part in community events and supporting local businesses in the ward.

Joshua’s father passed away when he was young so he and his brothers were raised by his mother. Through his experience, Joshua knows the struggles families are facing these days.

Joshua has a degree in criminology and works in probation. He has also worked in the London Mayor’s Office on projects to reduce re-offending as well as working for the police. I

In the past few years Joshua has campaigned with Councillors George Fielding, Charlotte Gerada, and Graham Heaney on a number of local issues in Southsea.
